How this site makes money

CPAP Backup Battery is free to use and doesn't run a paywall, a subscription, or sponsored posts. The site is supported by affiliate links: when a guide points you to a product and you buy it after following that link, the retailer may pay this site a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same either way — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.

As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Some links may also point to other retailers or directly to manufacturers, and those may or may not carry a referral arrangement.

What a commission does not buy

No commission decides what gets recommended here. Products enter a guide because their documentation supports the claims made about them — published capacity, verified compatibility, honest spec sheets — and they get ranked by how well they fit the stated use, not by what they pay. A product with a generous affiliate program can still be left out entirely for unclear specifications, weak support, or missing documentation, and several have been. The full standard is laid out in the editorial policy.

The reverse is also true: a product with no affiliate program at all can still be recommended if it's the right answer for the situation. The guides are written first, and the links are added where they exist.

How you'll know

Every guide that contains affiliate links carries a visible notice at the top of the article, before any product is mentioned. Behind the scenes, those links are also tagged so search engines treat them as the commercial links they are. Nothing is disguised as an ordinary reference.

If you'd rather not use the affiliate links, you can always search for any product directly — the guidance on this site works the same either way, and nothing here is gated behind clicking one.
