CPAP Backup Battery is a static website. There are no accounts to create, no forms to fill in, and no newsletter to subscribe to. The site never asks for your name, your email address, or any health information — and because backup-power planning inevitably touches on medical equipment, that last part is deliberate, not an accident.

The planning tools run in your browser

The calculators and planners on this site — the runtime calculator, the battery finder, the multi-night planner, and the rest — do their work entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter about your machine, your settings, or your travel plans are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to this site or stored by it. Close the tab and they're gone.

Analytics

When analytics is enabled, the site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate visit patterns — which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from, which tools get used. This is standard measurement data, not profiles of individuals, and it's the only visitor data the site itself collects. Browser privacy settings and content blockers can prevent this measurement entirely, and the site works exactly the same when they do.

Affiliate links

Some guides contain affiliate links, disclosed on the pages that carry them. When you follow one, the retailer or affiliate network on the other end — Amazon, most commonly — may receive referral information and may set its own cookies to attribute the visit. What happens from that point is governed by their privacy policies, not this one. If you'd rather avoid that, you can search for any product directly instead of clicking through.

Hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard technical request data — IP addresses, request headers — as part of delivering pages and protecting the site from abuse, the same way it does for a large share of the web. That processing is covered by Cloudflare's own privacy documentation.

If any of this changes — a contact form, a newsletter, a tool that needs to send data somewhere — this page will change first, and the tool itself will say so plainly.
